'Ever imagined what’s it like to design clothes for a living? To go to a big city like New York from an area of limited opportunities such as Ottawa? And the hard work it took to get there? This is the motivational journey of Juliana Bui, a Fashion Design student with a specialization in Knitwear studying at Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York. She tells us about her journey by how she created opportunities in high school to get into one of North America’s most prestigious fashion schools. Juliana has previously worked for the Victoria’s Secret Pink, as well as having internships at Faviana and Marchesa. She started one of the most popular clubs in her high school which was “Leo’s Magazine”, a fashion magazine club and designed most of her high school’s musical outfits.
