'(12 Sep 2021) BRITISH DESIGNER STELLA MCCARTNEY TURNS 50 British designer Stella McCartney turns 50 on Monday (13 SEPTEMBER 2021). The daughter of musician Paul McCartney and photographer Linda McCartney, Stella started her career in fashion design first by interning for Christian Lacroix and British tailor Edward Sexton. After graduating from prestigious fashion school Central Saint Martins in London, she was named creative director at French fashion house Chloe in 1997 where she stayed until 2001, when she started her own fashion label. McCartney has a slew of prominent fans, including Pink (who is a fellow animal rights supporter), Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. In 2010 she was chosen to design the Team GB outfits for the 2012 Olympics that were held in London. She is married to Alasdhair Willis and the couple have four children together.
