'About the Show :- Chanel has long been associated with tweed, but for the Fall 2022 show, the Grand Palais Éphémère was transformed into a shrine to the wonderful fabric that Coco Chanel admired above all. The Grand Palais\' seats and walls were tweed-covered Scottish landscapes, and the runway was a greenish hue, no doubt a tribute to Scotland\'s River Tweed. And tweed was the theme of the collection. The king of all woollen materials arrived in all of its glorious colour variations, as if one were witnessing the shifting landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, where the famous Harris Tweed is dyed and woven into cloth. Over thick-ribbed wool tights and rubber wellies, men\'s hunting and fishing jackets with several attached pockets, oversized coats, plaid knits, and little tweed skirts were worn. Waders did a fantastic job of emphasising the fun and sporty part of the ensemble. The collection had a much more youthful vibe to it than many others we\'ve seen over the years, which we applaud! This could be due to the participation of creative director Virginie Viard, who took over after Carl Lagerfeld left and is well aware that there\'s a whole market of young women who want to wear Chanel in a careless, informal, and grungy way without feeling like they\'re dressing like their mothers!
