'This is was a STRUGGLE. Today we are sewing a cut out top. Try this DIY subversive basics tutorial on your own risk. This minimalist subversive basics makin w only a sewing machine is probably no problem if your machine can sew jerseys.    We are doing another subrersive basics sewing tutorial today where I show how to make a trendy subversive basic top w only a sewing machine and some sewing supplies. Refashion an old dress into a top with this deconstructed subversive basic tutrial. You need to pick a longer dress to have extra scrap febric to work with. first we cut the middle front and back to create an extreme cut out. Than we add loops and sew them on the front. If you have a serger overlocker at home I would recommend serging or overlocking the seams whereever possible. Once you have the loops on you can add laces, if you trouble sewing small pieces like me a ribbon , t shirt yarn or nice rope will do. than we sew a collar and elongate sleeves into a bell sleeve.
