'The Trek for Teens Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created to raise funds and awareness for homeless youth in local communities. Initiated in 2007 with leadership and guidance from the Rotary Club of Etobicoke, the Trek for Teens Foundation has been a repeated success, raising over $66,000 in funds and in-kind donations for local shelters through the efforts of volunteers and participants. The foundation is run by youth from across Canada, with facilitators in high schools and universities. Our music shows raise funds for Horizons for Youth, Youth Without Shelter, and Covenant House Toronto. In addition to raising awareness about Toronto’s homeless youth, the events also support Toronto’s local band scene and offer the opportunity for these groups to perform. The Trek for Teens Foundation holds annual fashion shows that showcase local designers, models, and creative talent to the public across the GTA. Not only do we use creative talent as a way to bring the masses together, we also bring the public together for a greater cause. This cause is the homeless youth of Toronto. We believe there is no better way to enhance the creative field of the future than to nourish, protect, and assist the creative minds of the youth today.
