'(27 Sep 2019) PAKISTAN BRIDAL FASHION WEEK KICKS OFF WITH GLITZ, FLORALS Glitz and glamour took center stage in Lahore, Pakistan as major designers showcased their collections during the kick-off the three-day Pakistan Bridal Fashion Week. The event, put on by the Pakistan Fashion Design Council, featured collections by five designers with another 14 still to come. Designer Shakira Usman\'s collection featured plenty of sparkle and was heavy on florals. \"It was based on beauty and there\'s nothing (more) beautiful then the eternal flower,\" the designer said. Kamiar Rokni, a fashion designer and media personality said the bridal week is an \"amazing platform\" for Pakistani fashion. \"You\'re going to see some amazing trends and you\'ll see the best of Pakistan, what we have in terms to offer,\" he said. \"In terms of design, in terms of craft, in terms of modeling talent. There\'s just a lot of talent in this country and it needs the exposure and platforms like this to giving it the exposure so it\'s very exciting to be a part of it .\" Other designers showing in the bridal week include The House of Kamiar Rokni, HSY, Fahad Hussayn, Hussain Rehar, Mahgul, Sania Maskatiya, Saira*Shakira, Misha Lakhani, Nickie Nina, Nida Azwer, Sonia Azhar and Republic by Omar Farooq.
