'The Fashion Design and Retailing Department would like to congratulate the Spring 2020 Apparel Design Portfolio class on the completion of their senior design portfolios. In a normal semester, each student designs a 10 look collection using their own trend, design, and color inspiration. The students create patterns and complete garments for three of their ten looks in the collection. Students create technical specification packages for at least one of their garments complete with Adobe Illustrator flats. Their collections and portfolios are typically presented at our annual student portfolio day and the annual spring fashion show. This year proved to be a difficult semester for many, as they were forced to complete nearly half of their coursework remotely without access to the school\'s sewing studios. Both their portfolio presentation day and spring show were canceled, so their work could not be shared with family, friends, and industry partners. We do not want their work to go uncelebrated! This video shares some of the highlights of each student\'s portfolios. We hope to share the garments of the collections during the 2020/2021 school year so stay tuned to this channel!
