The film is about four college teenage girls, on their spring break in Florida where they meet an eccentric local drug dealer named Alien who helps them in a time of desperation, and their eventual descent into a world of drugs, crime, and violence. \'Spring break\' is a vacation period in early spring at universities and schools which started during the 1930s in the United States and is observed in some other mainly Western countries. Now this brand is the largest American retailer of women\'s lingerie. Victoria\'s Secret uses the show to promote and market its goods in high-profile settings. The show features some of the world\'s leading fashion models. American network television broadcasts the show during prime time. The first few shows in the 1990s were held in the days preceding Valentine\'s Day to promote the brand for this holiday. They were not aired on national television. In 1999 and 2000 the show was webcast. Beginning in 2001, the shows were moved ahead of the Christmas holiday season. Also in 2001, the show made its network television broadcast on ABC, though in all subsequent years, it has been broadcast on CBS. Its viewership has decreased over a five year period, losing around half of its viewers. In 2013, the audience numbered 9.7 million viewers, while in 2017, it had 5 million viewers. A potential reason is women\'s changing perception of the company\'s overall marketing and some has opinion that women don’t want to be viewed as stereotypical sexy supermodels buying lingerie just to impress men. Cancellation of the Victoria\'s Secret Fashion Show was officially announced in November 2019 amid declining ratings and sales, influenced by both the \'Me Too\' movement and the association of L Brands\' CEO Les Wexner with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
