The famed Chanel mastermind was honored with The Couture Council Fashion Visionary Award from the Fashion Institute of Technology for his vast contributions to the industry. \"I\'m very honored and very flattered, but you know I got a few awards in my life already so it\'s nice to get one more,\" said Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld worried that he might steal the focus from the designers presenting at New York Fashion Week, right across the courtyard in Lincoln Center. \"Sometimes I ask myself is it not impolite to intrude a city and catch attention when they show their collection.
