Aboriginal Fashion Showcase 2010 First Nations Designs Native American Models
05:06 Oct 12, 2020
The Canadian Aboriginal Fashion showcase featured First Nations designers' work with both Native American and Canadian models doing the catwalk, showcasing the clothes of a number of emerging fashion designers: Kim Picard, Tammy Beauvais, Louie Gong, and Tracy Toulouse. It is one of the many exciting events during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. These aboriginal artists draw on the rich history of the Inuit, Haida, Metis and First Nations and incorporate traditional native arts and designs into contemporary clothing. It is a new fashion statement, both original and authentic, for the artists themselves and the apparel-buying general public.
