'This afternoon, Spring Studios was buzzing with last-minute hair and makeup as Jason Wu prepped to show his fall collection, sixties-inspired couture shapes and evening looks among the offerings. “The idea was to create really womanly clothes that are sexy but strong at the same time,” the designer explains backstage in our video as models got finishing touches beside him. In the years since 2008, when he was a finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, it’s evident that Wu has made great strides, evolving right alongside the women who will be wearing these clothes.
