'Gave it my best shot but this one came up short. Ultimately I didn\'t stir the fudge enough after the cooldown and this ended up chewy. Better luck next time! Ingredients: 3 cups sugar 1/3 cup cocoa 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 stick of butter (1/4 cup) 1-2 cups walnuts Directions (follow them, don\'t be like Steve) 1. In a tall saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, salt, and buttermilk and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly 2. Boil until mixture is approximately 240F (using a candy thermometer) or when the mixture balls up when dipped into a cold cup of water. 3. Set the saucepan in a water bath to cool and add the butter. DO NOT STIR! Leave it in there until the temperature is reduced to about 110F (approximately 10 minutes). 4. Add vanilla extract and begin stirring. Stir until butter incorporated, then add the walnuts. YOU MUST KEEP STIRRING UNTIL THE FUDGE IS NO LONGER \"SHINY\". This may take 15-20 minutes. Don\'t skimp on this or your fudge will end up chewy....just like Steve\'s. 5. Turn out into a pan lined with wax paper and place in refrigerator to cool for 2-3 hours. 6. Fudge should cut neatly into squares'
