'I volunteered to be a pattern tester for the new Roaring and Swinging exhibit at the Museum at FIT which opened virtually March 15, 2021. I made the Welmade Dress, which is based off of an original antique dress from the 1920s as part of the Plus Pattern Project. This video is a companion to the free pattern and instructions that are being released along with the exhibit. The patterns are available totally free for download through the exhibition website https://exhibitions.fitnyc.edu/roaring-20s-and-swinging-60s/pattern-project/ ---- 0:00 Roaring and Swinging 1:05 Free Plus Size Patterns Source 1:25 Welmade Dress intro 1:36 Undershirt and Sleeves Construction 5:38 Tunic Construction 8:18 Belt Construction ---- Links If you would like to support my work, please visit my Ko-fi. https://ko-fi.com/historicalgarments Instagram https://www.instagram.com/historicalgarments/ Tumblr https://historicalgarments1.tumblr.com/ Pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/HistoricalGarments'
