'(15 Mar 1998) English/Nat  The Paris fashion show continued on Sunday with Italian designer Valentino presenting  his sophisticated winter collection.  Valentino said he wanted to celebrate a new understanding of luxury in his glamorous  show of 100 dresses.    Eagerly awaited by the worlds media the models wore a collection of clothes in the  minimalist genre.  Valentino drew his inspiration from far-flung cultural influences, letting his clothes take  on a modern bohemian flair.  The keyword in the collection was freedom -  dresses beautifully designed and sleekly  finished.    Pairing opposite themes, Valentino designed his collection with graphic lines and lavish  embellishments.  Embroideries, beading, ribbons and fur trim laid over silver grey, cream or basic black  cashmere and felt.  The collection is deliberately relaxed,  looking and feeling like sportswear.  Shapes are figure-hugging and long.  Raw-edged coats look like robes, skirts are  lengthened and full-cut pants are even slightly slouchy   And for the evening, sheer luxury, sexily cut, lacy, black evening dresses. Super model  Naomi Campbell also dazzled the audience in the designer\'s signature Valentino-red  evening dress.
