'In this video I am stitching denim, and then a nylon/acetate lining fabric with a vintage Singer 237. I do not change the tension in between fabrics, and this machine can handle that. This is an advantage when using several fabric types on one page. It is always necessary to use correct tension, but this machine is not so finicky that tension needs to be adjusted continually. When I watched this, for some reason the machine sounds clunky- it does not at all sound like that in person, it runs beautifully now. The table was vibrating but otherwise, I don\'t know why the machine seems to need oil.'
