'(15 Jan 2016) LOS ANGLES FASHIONISTAS PREP THEIR EL NINO STYLE British designer Stella McCartney showed her pre-fall collection in Los Angeles Tuesday (12 JAN. 2016) just days after one wave of El Nino spawned storms hit California, with many more on the way to the drought-dry state. Many of McCartney\'s guests, like fellow designer Rachel Zoe, were thrilled about the wet winter ahead. \"I love it. Just wear boots and coats and hats and everything else. I love this weather! I think it\'s fantastic. I do. Bring it on! I love it. I\'m so sick of being hot,\" said Zoe. \"Mad Men\" actress Kiernan Shipka said she\'s got her El Nino style sorted out. \"I always say like I wish, I always wish for cold days because the clothes are so much better. But then the second it\'s cold it\'s like all I want to do is wear sweats and sweatshirts. So I don\'t even know. I\'ve got rain boots. My foot hasn\'t grown in like a million years, so we\'re good. We\'re covered.\" By the time the series of storms are through, between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain are predicted to fall across the coastal and valley areas, with up to 5 inches falling in the mountains. \"I\'m just going to stay at my pool and wait for it to pass, probably. Just be submerged underwater,\" joked Chelsea Handler. \"We need an El Nino. It\'s a little dry around here.\" \"Downton Abbey\" actress Joanne Froggatt isn\'t too concerned about the predicted downpour either. \"Well I\'m British. I\'m going to be super prepared. It\'s like going to be home from home,\" Froggatt said. \"Fashion in the rain is hard. It\'s hard. Just take an umbrella everywhere you go really and then you\'re sort of safe.\" The current El Nino has tied 1997-1998 as the strongest on record, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration\'s Climate Prediction Center said, citing statistics that go back to 1950.
