'How to Draw A Retro Fashion Illustration On Procreate App Apps For Fashion Illustrators In this time lapse, I draw a fashion illustration using a gesture method. This requires the artist to observe the outline of the figure, in order to create the line work. It also means that the preliminary line work won’t be perfectly curved to show the curves of the figure. But rather it will be angular with varying thickness. Also the side-curved back fashion pose is one of the most elegant poses in fashion. The position of her hand not only give the piece a great focal point but also movement. Her fingers are in the middle of an action, grasping a sponge in the middle of a powder compact. This creates an interesting curling of the fingers and posing of the arms. I also loved doing the eye shadow contouring. This piece was created on Procreate App, an excellent app for fashion illustration. I really love this illustration as it allows you to be imperfect to create something beautiful.
