Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic touched down in the Italian city for the designer\'s latest show. Armani harnessed something of a celestial energy for his collection, which was an ode to multiculturalism. The silhouette was soft as it swathed its muse in sarongs and draped her in fringe and tassels. The prints, in deep blue and black, contributed to the mood with a swirling effect and a crystal encrusted evening dress recalled the night sky. Armani applied hippie and ethnic touches to his classic tailoring. A notch-collar jacket defied convention with a cascade of fringe, while tassels swinging freely from a belt, layered a short skirt. Head scarves wrapped like turbans completed the look and contributed to the slightly exotic vibe. The designer bared the leg with gathered shorts that were more bloomer than Bermuda, cut from sheer fabrics for lightness. The same shape was echoed in a short bubble dress.
