'(15 Jul 2015) RAG & BONE GOES SPORTY FOR SPRING-SUMMER 2016 Rag & Bone presented its spring-summer 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week: Men on Tuesday (14JULY2015) evening in lower Manhattan. David Neville, one half of the team behind the brand, says the collection is a mash-up of the brand\'s usual influences - street, sport and military - but says the new collection takes a lot of influence from sport and that is manifested in the use of technical fabrics. \"You know I think that the really sort of key influences for us as a brand have always been this kind of marriage of tailoring, street, sport, military, you know these are sort of the recurring themes that we\'ve really sort of build the DNA of our brand on, \" said Neville. The collection was presented on mannequins while a video played in the background. Designs included bombers and lightweight nylon rucksacks, military-inspired parkas, cargo pants and a variety of cotton twill track pants. Their were also cotton-linen blazers and classic field jackets. \"You know the way we\'ve styled it again we bleed in the tailoring and some of the military influences so it\'s really sort of a mash-up of those things. You know the fabric choices are quite technical, some featherweight nylon, some coated cotton and it has that sense of performance and even the tailored fabrics are pretty tight and structured so we\'re excited about the collection,\" said Neville adding, \"We\'re excited about New York Fashion Week: Men.\" This week sees the fashion industry hosting the first standalone men\'s fashion week in New York in 15 years (a brief attempt fizzled in the late `90s.)
